    This vote will change the current rule of letting players hit the Non Active mark of being offline 7 days before we boot them with a hope to see you later mail.

    We will lower the days Not active to 6 (just one day) but enough time we can kick them out before they get farmed if we happen to be slow on the trigger.

    As always anyone booted for Non Activity and NOT using vacation mode are always welcome back.

    Also please remember to add a quick reply with your name (IN Ogame) to be added to Partner rank where I will give you all advance notice of what political stuff is on the agenda.

    I normally have not cast a vote as to allow you guys to make a decision in this. However this one effects all of us here as an internal situation so I cast a vote. I see now that by voting the Poll changes from the two options to a bar graph and # of votes cast.

    So if you don't see the change over you didn't vote. The bar graph is also displayed when the timer I set ends. This is just all FYI

    what is the advantage of switching from 7 to 6 days of inactivity to boot players?

    The advantage is we have a day to kick them out before they go inactive. This means that before they even get marked as (i) in game we boot them so they wont be wearing our GALAXY tag when other players begin to farm them. I try to watch things to see around what time they actually shift from one number to the other but I am not always on line to see it.

    Logically it is almost always a given that if we see a player with 6 days inactivity that they will hit 7 days. No one has bothered to use Vacation mode showing more important things are occurring for them then taking the two minutes to switch that feature on before dropping off edge of the universe.

    Of course we are always open to having them back. If they get active again I hate to lose Electrojim like this, he was my first member. Still he could very well be in jail again or just have too much going on. What ever is up he is about to hit the 6 day mark himself.

    Hope this explains better. There are others here that want even less time like 5 days but 1 day at a time here I figure and lets see if this makes things easier.

    Okay thanks that really clears it up. I would have been against it if there wasn't a solid reason, like avoiding the (i) next to their name, to do it. I can understand that some people want even less time, but I don't want to start seeing it become common people kicked out, just to be brought back in because there were inactive to long. Around a week is, in my mind, a good amount of time to wait for a player. Any less time and we're just splitting hairs.

    Yes I agree. I was for the original 7 days but we had a few members kicked out prematurely and as I can see they are not active as of yet. I would go for the limit, however it is early in our guild history here and I am recruiting aggressively. Meaning I still use my max mails each day even with a few diplomacy mails thrown in. So we are bound to get a good few players who have interest for a week or two and then slip off.

    As we progress up the ranks we will become more self advertising. Having 50+ members in will also add to the self advertising factor as it will be more likely to bump across us when looking through the maps. However we do need an active and alert crew. Using the vacation mode is not difficult. I really hope some of these guys get active again and rejoin us but if not we will still continue to grow and expand. Very soon this will be out of my hands and take on a life of its own, it already has now to a small degree.

    Miners are the largest Group out there right now and I do see they are letting players hit and exceed the inactive mark. Sometimes this is allowed as they hate to lose the rank points that booting a higher ranked player can cause as effect. It does have a side effect of making the leadership there look like they are not actively paying attention.
