Alliance solar system?

I remember someone suggesting (can't remember who) that we take over an area of galaxy 3 or another of the less developed galaxies for the alliance. It would be a bunch of our planets close to each other, it would allow for easy trade between members, easy to do moon shots without someone trying to come in and recycle the debris field.

The reason I'm bringing this up is because I'm looking to make my third colony soon, and I want to make it somewhere that's far away from others, and try and get a moon with a jump gate. Then I'll use that as my hoarding planet/attacking planet.

So any thoughts on this matter? Yay/nay? where we would go?

so maybe g4??? or we can just get it in g3

idk, while g4 definitely looks emptier then g3, it looks like there is a lot of empty space available in g3. I'm fine with either of them.

Some systems are empty, true, but about +-50 systems is quite reachable distance for advanced fleets.

My vote goes for G4, im about to get my 5th colony now and I want a safe haven

i aIso heard this and wouId be up for it im nearing a 5th coIony asweII and think it wouId be a good thing if we go g4 im sure the spaces wiII get fiIIed quite quickIy so that shouId give us a big enough headstart on new pIayers entering the system?

Just so you guys know where I am at..

2:263 - Have two here my point of origin now mainly two shipyards.
2:274 - Research base.
1:273 - Hunting base, fleet landing point.
3:255 - Landing base*

* my base in 3:255 is mainly set to land my fleet at when I go offline. (I actually time it so it lands when I am getting back online) The player that is in my area Max Mesar is my friend and if I need will back me up with military.

I mention this as Heisenberg is also right next door to me here and this may be a good area to set a way station. I am planing to head even farther up the Galaxy stream at some point. This way I can send a fleet at 10% with some large cargo ships even and drag them out for a couple days a trip.

Well I have been probed at galaxy 3. Honestly today some guy from Emporium was probing me just to be obnoxious. He is ranked way below me and I have more then sufficient defense up there. There is from what I see a few areas here across Galaxy 3 already settled in by one group or another.

Anyways from what I see here now is that having hoped for a safer location instead this area may become a bit of a flash point (again talking about where I am in Galaxy 3). My buddy Max Mesar of course is hoping I will stir these guys around us up. He just got his moon here yesterday and has a very large fleet that would make more profit with these guys buzzing like bees.

So where I am may or may not be such a safe haven. Honestly no wheres ever is except in transit. So if you are worried do not leave loads of fleet sitting at your planet for long periods of time. If you do then make sure you have some turrets with some real punch. Gauss Cannons and Plasma Cannons.

As far as moving further out I am myself interested in securing a spot galaxy 5+. Somewhere again that will be far enough away for a time that landing and parking a fleet wont be such a bad thing. However that will most likely mean no farms there to build up fast. You guys are more then welcome to send probes at me if you need to see what I am doing. At some point I will post a better dress down of my planets here somewhere. That way you know which ones have Alliance Depots and decent defenses if you need a place to scatter some extra fleet.

kewl I am down for any space, I will prolly go for one more colony soon. So, tell me when you guys start working on this project currently I am on 1:212, 1:221, 3:444 I believe

4:458 - 4:467 is completely empty. in the 5 galaxies below 458 there are only 2 colonized plants, and 5 above there are only 5 colonized plates. 4 of which are all owned by one player. I'm going to send my colony ship to 4:462:7. I think this might be a good place to set up home base for us. if anyone else agrees I hope to see you there

Galaxy 4 is not best choice for me right now.. However for you guys it may be. I need galaxy 5+ looking more like galaxy 6 perhaps further. Base #6 for me is still two techs away as I have focused more on military lately, Just hit 100% on all weapon techs and still need one more tech for Destroyers.

This is just my own focus where I am at. I am looking for my next base to go out and away from other players just to have a long voyage location to send my combat fleet to on the odd occasion that I may need say a few days before it lands. I have already posted my base locations (I think, if not I will at some point soon then). My locations in Galaxy two seem to be close to a good few of our members. Galaxy 3 has a few guys here in GALAXY Rec. Inc. settling next to me by a system.

So besides getting us a location say far out where long voyages are something that can be done and will discourage attacks on us. Having a trade Hub in the hunting grounds is also something we should work towards. Just to facilitate faster resource trades, or the exchange there of.

So I am to sum this up saying where ever you go right now try to consolidate near members of Galaxy after you get your initial hunting spread, or farming spread set up. This should be by my own view at about base 5 or 6.

Cool my bases are located in g1 and g3, so I can go for g4 or g6. I just want a few more people to be in that galaxy so that it looks like an alliance galaxy

Iets go g-6 pick a pIace, im cIose to 6th pIanted now iv got one in g-4 but iv been probed and attacked their, think few pIayers that have set up camp in g-4 wiII try farm new pIayers, so g-6 is a good bet if u want time to get things in order and get estabIished def up fIeet saving, trading etc what u guys think?

If it is in G6 that sounds good. I just need a long time journey.. Now my damn keys are screwing up again its my ->3,e,d,c keys.. They work but I have to sometimes jab them with force to get them to respond. I think I have something in my computer lodged behind the board. I was just working fin past week but now back to this junk again.

Anyhow Lets get an official post going when we set up... Or you set up. I am still finishing last tech for Destroyers just now. I suppose I can focus next on Astrophysics. Next thing or location we need should be a consolidation point in the G1-3 galaxies for trades and mutual back up.
